100
players took part in the Christmas meeting with a shotgun start.
The conditions were very difficult with cold gale force winds
and
the last hour was played
in heavy rain.
The scores reflected the circumstances and it was remarkable how these were
attained.
The course, however, was in very good condition in spite of the recent frost
and snow.
After all had enjoyed their Christmas dinner, Nick Gammon (the Trevose MD)
welcomed everyone and thanked them all for braving the elements.
Mike Derry also thanked Trevose for hosting the day and wished
the Alliance members a very happy christmas.
The Carlyon Bay pair Will Sumner and Duncan Powell won the amateur prize
with last 9 count back deciding all placings in this sector.
Gary Lenaghan, the home professional had a good day winning the individual
and sharing first in the team pro sector.
The next meeting is at St Enodoc on Weds 5th January
